To most spiders are scary and spooky that’s why this year there’s been sort of a spider theme going for our Halloween decor. I needed just one more thing, something to hold our candy to give out. How about a Spider Candy Bowl?
It takes a lot to scare the little monsters (or sharks, bees, and Buzzes) from candy right?!?
I’m adding to the Spider door mat and the spider wreath. If you missed those just click to go back to see those posts. More specifically to the wreath. There was so much fake spider webbing left over from making the wreath. I never cut it off when I made the wreath, I just tucked the excess behind the mum that was sitting there but now it’s time to put it to use.
You can pick up a plastic pumpkin bucket anywhere or get one from the many in your Halloween decor like me. I went with a pumpkin bucket because it kinda closes in which will and to the spookiness.
Then spray paint it white. It doesn’t have to be perfect because you are going to cover it with the webbing.
I use both spray adhesive and hot glue to wrap and cover the white bucket with webbing.
Now add spiders. Spider rings or any fake spiders will do.
Have you been to Walmart in the seasonal aisle lately? Look at all those ginormous variety bags from Hershey’s, there’s something for every little monster.
The last step is to add the candy.
As long as they aren’t too scared to stick their hand in there to get it. Mwha ha ha!!! Do you see your favorite candy in there?(tell me your favorite below in the comments) I have too many favorites. Haha! But that’s ok with these big variety bags.
